Soccer: Loss of coach inspires Henry girls

The Patrick Henry girls soccer team won nine Eastern League titles under the guidance of coach Howie Hawver, who was known for coming up with inspirational slogans for his athletes.

Harver’s players are now carrying on his legacy, after their coach died last weekend after a two-year battle with Lou Gehrig’s disease, according to The San Diego Union-Tribune. He was 49.
